Select Your State to Begin

Questions are written for your state's statutes — not generic material that tries to cover all 50 states at once.

How It Works

Three steps from finishing your required course to walking into the exam with confidence.

1
🗺️

Pick your state

Every state has different notary laws, fee limits, and exam formats. Choose yours and get practice questions built around the statutes you will actually be tested on — not generic material that tries to cover all 50 states at once.

🏆

Unlock the full bank and pass

Get access to hundreds of practice questions weighted to match your state's actual exam format. Every wrong answer comes with a plain-English explanation and a reference to the specific law behind it, so you learn the rule — not just the answer.

Built differently from the start

Most practice tests recycle the same generic questions. These don't.

🧠

AI Explanations

Don't just memorize letters. Every wrong answer instantly shows you why — with the exact law section that proves it.

📜

State-Specific Only

California notary law is not the same as Texas law. Generic quizzes can teach you the wrong rules. Ours cover only the statutes on your actual exam.

Is this a replacement for the required notary education course?

No. States that require an exam — including California — also require candidates to complete an approved education course before they are eligible to sit for the test. We are not a course provider and do not issue completion certificates.

What we do is help you after the course is done. Training courses teach you the material. Our practice tests make sure you can recall it under exam conditions — closed book, timed, multiple choice. Think of it as the difference between attending a lecture and doing practice problems before the final.

How is this different from the free practice tests I can find online?

Most free practice tests use the same recycled question sets that have been floating around for years. Some have wrong answers. Few, if any, explain why a particular answer is correct.

Three things set us apart. First, our questions are written for your specific state — California notary law is not the same as New York or North Carolina law, and a "general" notary quiz can actually teach you the wrong rules. Second, every question includes the legal citation behind the correct answer, so you can look it up yourself. Third, our system tracks which topics you miss most often and prioritizes them in future sessions. Random quizzing wastes your time. Targeted review does not.

Do I need to create an account?

You can try a set of free questions without signing up. If you want your progress saved across sessions — so you can pick up where you left off and see which areas still need work — you will need a free account. Paid features like the full question bank and the AI-powered weak-spot report require a subscription.

What if I do not pass the exam?

If you complete our full practice question bank and do not pass your state exam, contact us with your official exam result letter and you can choose between a full refund or a free access extension until you pass. We are building this for people who need to pass, not people who want to browse.

Which states do you cover?

We are currently live with California and New York — two of the largest notary markets in the U.S. Texas and Florida are next. If your state is not available yet, join the waitlist and we will let you know as soon as it launches.

How often is the content updated?

We review every question bank at least once per quarter and update it whenever a state changes its notary laws. For example, California's AB 1597 — a pending bill to raise maximum notary fees from $15 to $20 per signature — is on our watch list. If it passes, our California questions will be updated before the new law takes effect.
