1. What This Service Is (and What It Is Not)
NotaryExamPrep.com provides online practice questions, study materials, and exam-preparation tools for individuals preparing for notary public examinations in the United States.
We are not a notary education provider.
We do not offer state-approved notary education courses, and using our Service does not satisfy any mandatory education requirement imposed by any state. If your state requires you to complete an approved course before sitting for the notary exam, you must do so through a state-approved vendor separately from this Service.
We are not affiliated with any government agency.
NotaryExamPrep.com is an independent, privately operated website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the California Secretary of State, CPS HR Consulting, the National Notary Association, or any other state or federal government body.
We do not guarantee exam results.
While our materials are designed to help you prepare for your state's notary public exam, we cannot and do not guarantee that you will pass. Exam content, formats, and passing standards are determined entirely by state authorities and their contracted testing organizations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide during registration is accurate.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you will need to create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@NotaryExamPrep.com .
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that remain inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where possible.
4. Purchases and Payments
4.1 Free and Paid Features
Each state includes 10 free preview questions, and a free account can save preview progress. A separate paid purchase unlocks the selected state's complete question bank for 12 months, including saved progress and topic summaries.
4.2 Pricing
The current price is US$14.99 for 12 months of access to one selected state. California and New York are separate products. Each purchase is a one-time payment with no automatic renewal. We may change prices for future purchases, but a price change will not shorten an access period you have already purchased.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Creem, our payment provider and merchant of record. When you complete a purchase, you also agree to Creem's buyer terms. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or banking details.
4.4 Refunds
You may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your original purchase, as described in our Refund Policy . Requests received after that period are not eligible under our refund policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4.5 Access Term and Expiration
Access to the purchased state's complete question bank lasts for 12 months from the purchase date and then expires automatically. Free preview questions remain available after expiration. If you want another access period, you may make a new one-time purchase at the price displayed at that time.
5. Content Accuracy and Disclaimer
5.1 Educational Content
Original self-paced digital exam-preparation content. Not legal advice, not government certification, and not affiliated with any government agency.
Our practice questions, explanations, and study materials are based on publicly available state statutes, official notary handbooks published by state authorities, and administrative rules. We make reasonable efforts to keep this content accurate and up to date.
However, laws change. Exam formats change. We do not warrant that every piece of content on the Service reflects the most current version of any statute or regulation at the exact moment you access it. Always refer to your state's official notary handbook and the relevant government code sections as the authoritative source.
5.2 Explanations & Study Content
Explanations and study reports on the Service are prepared for educational purposes and include official-source references. Where an answer-specific review date is shown, that answer was checked against the identified source on that date. These materials may still contain errors and are not a substitute for legal advice. If you have questions about specific legal requirements in your state, consult an attorney or your state's notary regulatory authority.
5.3 No Legal Advice
Nothing on this Service constitutes legal advice. We provide exam-preparation materials — not legal counsel, immigration guidance, or professional notary consulting. Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship or any similar professional relationship.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ✗ Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access the Service through your account
- ✗ Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display our questions, explanations, or study materials without our written permission
- ✗ Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract content from the Service
- ✗ Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of the Service
- ✗ Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms
- ✗ Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you are violating any of these terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — including but not limited to practice questions, answer explanations, study guides, website design, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by NotaryExamPrep.com or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
During your purchased 12-month access period, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the paid content for the selected state for your own exam-preparation purposes. This license does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.
References to California Government Code, state handbooks, and other public legal materials are used for educational purposes and attributed to their respective government sources. We do not claim ownership of statutory text.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy . By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
In summary: we collect the information necessary to operate the Service (email address, usage data, payment records processed by our payment provider). We do not sell your personal data to third parties. For full details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.
In no event shall NotaryExamPrep.com, its owner, operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NotaryExamPrep.com, its owner, operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

- • Your violation of these Terms
- • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- • Any content you submit or transmit through the Service
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, links to state government websites, approved education vendors, or exam registration portals). We provide these links for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website.
Our payment processing is handled by a third-party provider. Your payment transactions are subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify you by email or through a notice on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Paid access is a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew, so there is no subscription to cancel. Questions about your access may be sent to contact@NotaryExamPrep.com .
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Refund eligibility remains governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect.
To minimize cost and burden on both parties, any arbitration will be conducted telephonically, online, or based solely on written submissions, at the election of the party initiating the arbitration. No personal appearance by the parties or witnesses is required unless mutually agreed.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights or confidential information.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NotaryExamPrep.com regarding your use of the Service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
