1. What This Service Is (and What It Is Not)
NotaryExamPrep.com provides online practice questions, study materials, and exam-preparation tools for individuals preparing for notary public examinations in the United States.
We are not a notary education provider.
We do not offer state-approved notary education courses, and using our Service does not satisfy any mandatory education requirement imposed by any state. If your state requires you to complete an approved course before sitting for the notary exam, you must do so through a state-approved vendor separately from this Service.
We are not affiliated with any government agency.
NotaryExamPrep.com is an independent, privately operated website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the California Secretary of State, CPS HR Consulting, the National Notary Association, or any other state or federal government body.
We do not guarantee exam results.
While our materials are designed to help you prepare for your state's notary public exam, we cannot and do not guarantee that you will pass. Exam content, formats, and passing standards are determined entirely by state authorities and their contracted testing organizations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide during registration is accurate.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you will need to create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@NotaryExamPrep.com .
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that remain inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where possible.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free and Paid Features
Some features of the Service are available at no charge. Other features — including the full question bank, timed practice exams, and AI-powered study reports — require a paid subscription.
4.2 Pricing
Current pricing is displayed on the pricing page of the website. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Any price change will apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the effective date of the change; it will not affect the current billing period of an existing subscription.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (currently Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, as applicable). When you purchase a subscription, you are also agreeing to the payment provider's terms of service. We do not store your credit card number or payment details on our servers.
4.4 Refunds
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase by contacting contact@NotaryExamPrep.com . Refund requests made after this 7-day window are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Refunds for subscription renewals may be requested within 48 hours of the renewal charge. After 48 hours, the renewal is considered final for that billing period.
4.5 Pass Guarantee & Refund Policy
If you complete the full question bank for your state and do not pass your official state notary exam, you may contact us with a copy of your exam result letter. We will issue a full refund of your purchase price, subject to the following conditions:
- → You must have answered at least 80% of the available questions in your state's question bank before your exam date.
- → You must submit your refund request within 30 days of receiving your official exam results.
- → You must provide a copy of your official exam result letter as proof of the failed attempt.
- → This guarantee applies to the state notary public exam only, not to any other certification or test.
- → Refunds are limited to one claim per purchase. Repurchases after a refund are not eligible for a subsequent guarantee.
- → Your refund request must be submitted within one (1) year of your original purchase date. Requests made after this period will not be honored.
To request a refund under this guarantee, email us at contact@NotaryExamPrep.com with subject line "Pass Guarantee Refund Request" and attach your exam result letter. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
5. Content Accuracy and Disclaimer
5.1 Educational Content
Our practice questions, explanations, and study materials are based on publicly available state statutes, official notary handbooks published by state authorities, and administrative rules. We make reasonable efforts to keep this content accurate and up to date.
However, laws change. Exam formats change. We do not warrant that every piece of content on the Service reflects the most current version of any statute or regulation at the exact moment you access it. Always refer to your state's official notary handbook and the relevant government code sections as the authoritative source.
5.2 AI-Generated Explanations
Some explanations and study reports on the Service are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While we review AI-generated content for accuracy, these explanations are provided for educational purposes only and should not be treated as legal advice. If you have questions about specific legal requirements in your state, consult an attorney or your state's notary regulatory authority.
5.3 No Legal Advice
Nothing on this Service constitutes legal advice. We provide exam-preparation materials — not legal counsel, immigration guidance, or professional notary consulting. Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship or any similar professional relationship.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ✗ Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access the Service through your account

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification

- • Your use of the Service

11. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, links to state government websites, approved education vendors, or exam registration portals). We provide these links for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website.
Our payment processing is handled by a third-party provider. Your payment transactions are subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify you by email or through a notice on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect.
To minimize cost and burden on both parties, any arbitration will be conducted telephonically, online, or based solely on written submissions, at the election of the party initiating the arbitration. No personal appearance by the parties or witnesses is required unless mutually agreed.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights or confidential information.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NotaryExamPrep.com regarding your use of the Service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
